Are you a geoscience student or recent graduate ready to gain field experience? This role supports core processing, logging preparation, sampling, and mapping on an active Canadian mineral exploration program.
Key Responsibilities
- Core Handling & Processing: Reconstruct, align, and organize drill core in boxes to ensure structural continuity.
- Geotechnical Data: Record core recovery, Rock Quality Designation (RQD), and fundamental geological logging data.
- Sample Preparation: Assist with core cutting, sample packaging, lab prep, and shipping logistics.
- Field Exploration: Support prospecting, surface sampling, and geological mapping initiatives in the field.
- Operations & Safety: Maintain a clean core shack while adhering to safety, QA/QC, and environmental standards.
- Physical Demands: Lift, carry, and stack core boxes and field supplies weighing up to 60 lbs.
Education & Qualifications
🎓 Education: Enrolled in or completed B.Sc. in Geology or Earth Sciences.
🇨🇦 Work Authorization: Must be legally authorized to work in Canada without restrictions.
🚗 Driver's License: Valid Class 5 Driver’s License with a clean record.
🏔️ Field Capability: Prepared for remote camp conditions, variable weather, and physical labor.
⭐ Assets: Core shack experience, logging familiarity, and core orientation knowledge.
