Key Responsibilities
As a Geologist – Modelling, your responsibilities will include:
Develop and maintain geological, resource, and ore control block models.
Validate and reconcile geological models with production data.
Support mineral resource estimation.
Provide geological modelling inputs for mine planning.
Integrate drilling, sampling, and production data into resource models.
Perform mine-to-mill reconciliation.
Identify opportunities to improve geological models.
Collaborate with Mining, Mill, and Technical Services teams.
Support ore blending and production forecasting.
Coordinate with the Chief Geologist on drilling programs.
Review geological and geotechnical logging activities.
Apply geostatistical modelling techniques.
Support ore control activities including dig block validation.
Promote safety, continuous improvement, and teamwork.
Required Qualifications
Applicants should have:
Bachelor's Degree in:
Geology
Geological Engineering
Mining Engineering
Minimum 2–5 years of experience in:
Geological modelling
Resource estimation
Ore control
Production geology
Reconciliation
Open-pit mining operation
Required Skills
Successful candidates should possess experience with:
Geological block modelling
Ore control modelling
Mineral resource estimation
Geostatistics
Geological databases
QA/QC procedures
Mine-to-mill reconciliation
Geological interpretation
Production geology
Software experience with one or more of the following:
MineSight
Supervisor
Equivalent geological modelling software
Additional skills:
