Position: Material Inspector

This role is focused on quality assurance and inspection of construction materials used on site.
Job Responsibilities
The selected candidate will perform several key tasks related to materials inspection and testing. Major responsibilities include:
Site Testing and Sampling
Supervise all material tests and sampling activities at the construction site.
Ensure testing procedures follow project specifications and standards.
Laboratory and Field Testing
Witness laboratory tests conducted by contractors or third-party laboratories.
Monitor in-situ tests conducted on construction materials.
Coordination with Inspection Team
Work closely with work inspectors and engineers to confirm that work areas are ready for testing.
Discuss potential quality issues and resolve them quickly.
Material Verification
Check all materials delivered to the site.
Confirm that materials match approved suppliers and project specifications.
Quality Control and Assurance
Support quality assurance procedures during construction activities.
Assist in reviewing testing reports and documentation.
Technical Support
Assist senior inspectors and materials engineers with:
Material approvals
Testing procedures
Quality verification
Project documentation
Required Qualifications
To be eligible for this position, candidates should meet one of the following educational backgrounds:
Technical Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering or related field
Civil Engineering Graduate
Experience requirements include:
Minimum 5+ years of experience for diploma holders
Minimum 3 years of experience for civil engineering graduates
Experience should preferably include work on:
Roads and highways
Bridges
Concrete works
Utility infrastructure projects
