🧑💻 Key Responsibilities
The Senior Geotechnical Engineer will provide geotechnical engineering services in accordance with UAE authority requirements.
Geotechnical Investigation & Analysis
Responsibilities include:
Reviewing geotechnical investigation reports
Verifying borehole depth and number requirements
Checking compliance with UAE authority regulations
Foundation Engineering Review
The engineer will review designs and calculations for:
Shallow foundations
Deep pile foundations
Raft foundations
Micropiles
Seismic & Liquefaction Analysis
Conduct and review liquefaction analysis
Verify seismic parameters for infrastructure projects.
Geophysical Investigations
Review geophysical survey reports using methods such as:
MASW (Multichannel Analysis of Surface Waves)
ERT (Electrical Resistivity Tomography)
CHS
DHS
Groundwater & Dewatering
Review dewatering method statements
Check calculations and construction drawings.
Soil Improvement Techniques
Evaluate reports and construction methods such as:
Dynamic compaction
Vertical drainage systems
Vibration techniques
Soil consolidation
Chemical stabilization
Stone columns
Geotextiles and geomembranes
Special Foundations
Review complex foundation systems including:
Micropiles
Pile foundations
Raft foundations
Shoring Systems
Assess excavation support methods such as:
Diaphragm walls
Secant piles
Soldier piles with shotcrete
Berlin walls
Anchored retaining walls
Geotechnical Modeling
Create and analyze soil-structure interaction models using:
PLAXIS 2D
PLAXIS 3D
Retaining Structures
Review design and stability of:
Concrete retaining walls
Gabion walls
Mechanically Stabilized Earth (MSE) walls
Project Coordination
Attend technical meetings
Coordinate with clients and project teams
Provide engineering advice and technical reviews
