Job Overview
An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Senior Resource Geologist to join a dynamic mining and geology-focused organization based in Dubai.
This role is ideal for professionals with strong expertise in geological modelling, resource estimation, and database management, particularly those with hands-on experience in African mineral projects.
The position plays a key role in exploration support, mine planning, and strategic decision-making, ensuring all geological work aligns with international reporting standards.
Key Responsibilities
As a Senior Resource Geologist, your responsibilities will include:
Analyzing and interpreting geological data using advanced geological software
Developing and maintaining 3D geological and resource models
Supporting Mineral Resource & Ore Reserve estimation
Integrating geological, geochemical, and geophysical datasets
Creating multiple geological and mining scenarios for decision-making
Assessing risks and opportunities related to mineral deposits
Supporting greenfield and brownfield exploration programs
Conducting fieldwork and geological data collection when required
Preparing high-quality technical and non-technical geological reports
Collaborating with geologists, engineers, and senior management
Assisting in mine planning and operational supervision
Performing geological due diligence for investments, M&A projects
Ensuring compliance with JORC and NI 43-101 standards
Managing, archiving, and digitizing geological databases
Training and mentoring junior geologists
Applying African geological knowledge to regional exploration projects
Required Qualifications & Skills
To be successful in this role, candidates should have:
Master’s degree in Geology, Geosciences, or related field
Minimum 10+ years of industry experience
Competent Person (CP) status under JORC and/or NI 43-101 (preferred)
Strong experience with geological modelling and resource estimation
In-depth understanding of African mineral belts and terrains
Excellent analytical, reporting, and communication skills
Ability to work in multidisciplinary teams and lead technical tasks
Software & Technical Expertise
Hands-on experience with the following tools is highly desirable:
