🎓 Educational Requirements
Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Geology
OR Bachelor of Technology / Engineering (Civil or Environmental)
🧪 Roles & Responsibilities
Receive soil and rock samples from site drillers
Identify, label, and store samples as per defined procedures
Ensure all samples from site are properly received and maintained
Prepare monthly disposal sheets approved by the Unit Head (Geotechnical)
Prepare borehole logs based on visual sample description
Log samples and prepare detailed descriptions
Coordinate sampling with the Geotechnical Engineer as per project specifications
Monitor laboratory supplies and report shortages
Maintain good housekeeping and comply with all safety standards
🧠 Required Technical Knowledge
Candidates should be familiar with:
Standard Penetration Test (SPT)
Cone Penetration Test (CPT)
Hydrometer Test
Rock Quality Designation (RQD)
Total Core Recovery (TCR)
Solid Core Recovery (SCR)
Specific Gravity Test
