🧭 Position Overview:
We are currently looking for a highly skilled Geologist to join an expert subsurface team operating on a 5/2 rotation in Uzbekistan. This role will be instrumental in exploration and drilling operations, working with cutting-edge software and contributing to impactful energy projects.
🔍 Key Responsibilities:
As a Geologist in this role, your day-to-day activities will include:
✅ Seismic interpretation (2D and 3D)
✅ Geological mapping and structural analysis
✅ Play fairway mapping and prospect generation
✅ Petroleum system analysis and basin modeling
✅ Well planning and drilling support
✅ Team collaboration with geophysicists, engineers, and modelers
✅ Integration of geological and geophysical datasets
📌 Requirements:
To be successful in this role, candidates should meet the following criteria:
🎓 Educational Qualification:
• Advanced degree (MSc or higher) in Geology, Geosciences, or a related field.💼 Professional Experience:
• A minimum of 15 years of experience in oil and gas exploration• Strong track record of working in complex structural settings and frontier basins
💻 Technical Skills:
• Proficiency in PETREL, PetroMod, and other industry-standard interpretation tools• Strong understanding of basin analysis, structural geology, and prospect evaluation
• Excellent command of English – Upper-Intermediate or Fluent level is a must
🧠 Preferred Skills (Bonus!):
While not mandatory, the following skills are considered a strong advantage:
✨ Quantitative seismic interpretation techniques
✨ GIS and remote sensing applications
✨ Expertise in petroleum system modeling and heat flow analysis
📍 Location & Work Schedule:
Location: Uzbekistan
Rotation: 5 days on / 2 days off
